Today I felt to do something different, I wanted to talk to you about "Art."
I feel that art has lost its meaning in the last few centuries, maybe even longer.
Art truly started before time was recorded. The need to create and to be creative is born within us.
To me an artist taps into their creative side early, and when allowed to fruit has extraordinary blessing for all around them.. The strange thing is we are all creative artists when we allow ourselves to be open.
Did you know being creative at one point in history was a sign of being gifted by the Gods themselves? (a possible sign of being a child of the Divine).
Years later it was a way to separate some from others and to build a division in class or bloodline. This is the time when the meaning of being an artist changed.
For Centuries art was exploited until it went underground, hidden from the eyes of the masses, and was used for coding and communicating sacred messages. All the way up until the late 60's, early 70's, we find the struggle to clarify the true meaning of "ART". I leave you with a brave group’s attempt to change the worlds viewpoint of art and to restore it to its original form here with "Arte Povera."
Art is defined through thought, passion, and self expression. The love for art comes from experiencing the world in all of its beauty, joy, sadness, and horror in a way that only you can.
"I see you!"
